Well, we are getting close to Super Bowl Sunday and this is all we hear about. Impeach. Impeach. Impeach. For the love of God can we be done with this already?
Here are my thoughts as your everyday fifty-two-year-old woman. First off, a little about me. Just so all of you who hate my opinion can take a moment to actually think about my position.
I am 52 years old. I am female. I am middle class. I am educated.
I voted for Clinton. I voted for Obama. And I voted for Trump.
Why did I vote for Trump? Because we needed change. And Hilary wasn’t it. To be honest, Hilary is the last woman on earth I want to be the first female President of the United States. I don’t respect her, and I certainly don’t think she respects the women of the United States. But, that’s just my opinion.
I voted for Trump because I wanted change. Change that I didn’t see from Obama. Since Trump has been in office I have been amazed at how terribly the media has spun him. I’ve never been a conspiracy theorist, but my God, this crap is crazy.
I live and work in Portland, Oregon and am witness to the severe homelessness, opioid addiction, and riots and damage caused by Antifa. Yet none of it makes it on our local news. Crazy.
Yet we are definitely privy to the impeachment trial. I think it is a hoax. I think the Democrats are so afraid of losing to him in this next election that they are pulling out all the stops to try and discredit him. I ask you this. Why can they not bring one decent candidate to the table to compete against him?
Instead they have to do a horrible smear campaign. The reality is none of the Democratic candidates has a chance. They are too crazy. Joe Biden is just simply no longer equipped to lead. He can’t articulate a normal sentence. Not to mention his son Hunter. Those ties can’t be forgotten.
Then there is Bernie. He probably is the closest to having a popular vote and strong following, but the Democratic party will never allow it. He is too far left for their taste. I think they would rather see Trump win than Bernie.
I could go on about the other candidates. But it truly is a waste of time.
Our country doesn’t want to become Socialist. But we do want better healthcare. If the Republican party could come up with a real solution to health care the tides would certainly change. I kind of think Trump wants to make that change. But I think his hands may be tied by his own party.
In the meantime, one of our great national pastimes is coming again – Super Bowl Sunday. And I hear that Bloomberg is going to blow up the Super Bowl commercials with political anti-Trump rhetoric. Geez. Can’t he give us all a break? Let us enjoy our American tradition. We should be enjoying our Budweiser commercials like we have traditionally done. No political propaganda commercials please.
Can we not have just one day free of the BS rhetoric?
