I am sure that most people in Canada wouldn’t, but a lot would? Want Canada to be a State of the USA, but what about a Union of common sense. We could do a Hybrid version of the European Union ( a better one of course) One Currency, (the Dollar) which they would like, some pricing changes for Canada, but we eliminate the difference in the exchange rates, getting more Canadians to enjoying doing more business with USA in Tourism and Commerce, which will effect some of the balance of trade imbalance. Then we eliminate the border between the US and Canada, honor each other’s Passports, which need to be carried when you are in the country where you are a non-citizen. Then we move all plus some border Patrol people US and Canadians to the north boarder of Canada. Securing the US and Canada more, possibly at a better economic cost. I as an economist see this as a win win.
