Why do we have school boards? What happened to parent teacher conferences or talking to the principle (not the vice principle or his assistant)?
Want better education? Then get rid of 75% of the administrators and give that money to the K-12 teachers (not to college). Also, create a voucher system. Let the teachers compete; they can teach as well as any charter school if we take their shackles off and stop telling them what or how to teach.
Parents should listen to teachers. They know our kids more than we think and can teach us parents a thing or two about our kids. Afterall, nine months out of the year, they spend more time with our kids than we do.
